The Health & Safety at Work (General) (Guernsey) Ordinance
[download here] was made under the powers of the 1979 law [download here], coming into force on the 1st December, 1987. The Ordinance is split into five distinct sections: -

Part I       General duties of Employers, Employees and others
Part II       Approved Codes of Practice
Part III      Enforcement etc.
Part IV     Provisions as to Offences
Part V      Miscellaneous and General

The only employed person who is not covered by the provisions of the Ordinance, is the domestic servant in a private household an exception made to protect the husband and wife relationship.
